XTec AuthentX Cloud Prioritized for FedRAMP High Impact Authorization
FedRAMP Connect selected the XTec AuthentX Cloud Service Offering based on government-wide demand, applicability for cross-agency use, and system security
RESTON, Va., May 2, 2017 -- XTec Incorporated, a leader in identity, credential and access management (ICAM) technology, today announced that the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, or FedRAMPSM, selected XTec’s AuthentX Cloud Service Offering as one of seven solutions prioritized for a FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board (JAB) Provisional Authorization (P-ATO). The AuthentX CSO is scheduled to be assessed at the High Impact level which was released in mid-2016, and to date, has only seen three service providers successfully navigate the rigorous assessment process to reach authorization.

FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. Using a new process called FedRAMP Connect the FedRAMP program received roughly 40 business case applications, eventually narrowing that down to seven vendors with the help of a group of 13 Federal agency CIOs.
